'Business World' to host India Sports Congress on 9 December

Business World magazine (www.businessindia.in) is organising the first-of-its-kind India Sports Congress (www.indiasportscongress.com) at The Grand (hotel) in New Delhi on 9th December. The global sports industry is estimated to be worth around US$ 600 billion and growing at a rate higher than national gross domestic product (GDP) around the world.

Given the growing might of the Indian economy and the country's young demographics, the country is fast emerging as a preferred venue for major sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World Cups in hockey and cricket.
