Small step for India, big leap for fitness

India’s first international B2B trade show for the fitness business community opens in Mumbai on 9th October

India’s first international trade fair on fitness training equipment, wellness and sports nutrition, bodyLIFE-IFW Expo 2014, is all set to open at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (Mumbai), between 9-11 October.

It is being organised by PDA-HaB Media and Tradefairs Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture company of PDA Trade Fairs (Bangalore, India) and Health and Beauty Group (Karlsruhe, Germany).

The unorganised, unregulated and unrecognised fitness and wellness industry in India is at a crossroads: as it prepares for the anticipated boom of gyms and wellness centres across the country, it will have to address issues like awareness and education, quality and standardisation, competition and accountability.

bodyLIFE-IFW Expo aims at providing a platform to address these very concerns for this burgeoning industry.

A trade show of this nature and scope is the need of the hour: a fitness and wellness industry exposition that will not only act as a catalyst to the health-conscious movement, but also provide a platform to foster partnerships in the sector and convert potential to commerce.

Gym and health club owners, fitness facility managers and trainers are expected to visit India’s first international B2B trade fair on fitness, to see the latest changes in the fitness industry’s ecosystem.

Explore Opportunities

The expo is supported and endorsed by such leading fitness chains as Talwalkars and Snap Fitness, along with several renowned individual gyms and health clubs. It also has tremendous support from leading industry bodies.

It is being steered by an advisory committee comprising of leading names in the fitness industry. The committee provides industry-specific inputs, knowledge and guidance in framing the topics for the workshops and steering the event in line with the industry’s requirements.

Importantly, the Expo will catalyse employment opportunities among the youth and offer them a platform to choose from, and train for, a variety of professional opportunities: designing content and implementing training concepts; maintenance and management of fitness facilities; physical rehabilitation and sports science; along with sales, marketing and branding of fitness facilities.

The Expo will also provide visitors direct access to manufacturers and distributors of the latest fitness equipment, technologies and services. This attitude will also provide the right stimulus for adjunct sectors – health care, media, gaming, hospitality and education – to generate additional revenue streams and generate employment by offering products and services.

Next edition of bodyLIFE Expo is on 01 - 03 October 2015 at Mumbai.

The second edition of bodyLIFE Expo will be held in Mumbai in October 2015. This was announced by PDA-HAB Media & Tradefairs Pvt. Ltd., the organisers and publishers of bodyLIFE Indian edition.
